Two weeks ago we alerted you to an upcoming running change in our Ready-to-Run Distributors. The change is due to a through-hole electronic component that is no longer available from the supplier(s).

Our R&D and manufacturing crew was prepared to update the built-in ignition module to a surface mount design. These changes are now in production. The only visual difference is that there is now a Green Tach Wire. Not only does this wire provide an isolated and clean tach trigger, but it also provides a programmable rev limit!

Superchips Maximum Value Program (MVP) Pricing Policy Returns

Superchips proudly announces the reinstatement its Maximum Value Program (MVP) unilateral pricing policy. As you may recall, in December 2008, Superchips announced the temporary suspension of its pricing portion of the MSDP MVP Policy. This was in an effort to allow our authorized dealers the flexibility to react to the recession by offering sale pricing during a tough economic climate. The industry has weathered the storm; therefore, it's time to return to a pricing model with an emphasis on reasonable margins for the channel while delivering affordable performance for our consumers.

After receiving a significant amount of feedback from our authorized dealers and customers, we believe reinstating the MSDP MVP Authorized Dealer Pricing Policy Agreement [signed by all of the authorized Superchips dealers] is appropriate to stabilize price. To allow our authorized dealers and customers enough time to update advertising and promotional materials, we are providing 60 days notice to implement the minimum retail pricing in all sales and promotional collateral. Keep in mind MVP pricing establishes a pricing floor; therefore, retailers selling above MVP pricing are in full compliance with the terms and conditions of the program. All other MSDP MVP terms and conditions apply as per the signed MSDP MVP Authorized Agreement.

The Superchips MVP Pricing Policy takes effect June 14, 2010. For authorized dealers with long-lead committed resources and previously printed or approved sales and marketing promotions for 2010 calendar year, these programs are grandfathered for 2010 and must have written approval from Superchips. Any programs outside the MVP Pricing Policy that do not have prior written approval will be considered in violation.

Superchips reserve the right to approve seasonal/promotional pricing to authorized dealers. Announcements will be made via email as the programs become available. MVP prices may be revisited occasionally in an effort to match customer demand and achieve competitive pricing. Any future MVP price change will be communicated in advance allowing the channel to react and update their systems.

Each dealer is free to determine retail prices at or above the MVP price. This policy establishes minimum resale price for each of the MVP products. The MSDP MVP team will continue to monitor Superchips MVP pricing in the marketplace and take the necessary corrective action to bring any violators into compliance as outlined in the Authorized Dealer Pricing Policy.

Superchips' network of resellers, dealers and customers are responsible for the enforcement and compliance of the Superchips MVP policy. Ogden, UT - Today Edge Products and the National Association of Diesel Motorsports (NADM) announced that Weekend on the Edge will be held September 3 - 4, 2010. Weekend activities will kick off with NADM-sanctioned diesel drags at Rocky Mountain Raceway Friday September 3rd. Fans will be treated to some of the best diesel drag racing in the region running all classes, with cash purses, and will have a chance to win a variety of raffle prizes from Edge. Saturday the 4th, the fun continues with a dyno day at Edge Products headquarters in Ogden followed by a sled pull at Ogden's Pioneer Stadium brought to you by Premier Performance Products, a leading distributor of diesel performance products based out of Rexburg, Idaho and K&N's diesel performance air intakes and filters. Sled Pulling will be facilitated by NADM and the United Pullers from Salt Lake City. All classes will run by NADM and tractor classes via United Pullers. Superchips 2009 Summer Event Announcement

Superchips is pleased to announce a new feature to be incorporated into the Passport to Performance Program this summer.

Raffle tickets will be rewarded to dealers submitting sales tracking sheets after events. Every programmer sold at an event will result in (5) raffle tickets being entered into a drawing for a variety of exciting prizes. Tracking forms are included in every promotional kit. Dealers must submit tracking forms no later than (10) business days after the event they attend. After submitting a completed product tracking form to Jim McGinn, dealers will be sent a confirmation email with the total number of tickets they have obtained. Raffle tickets will be distributed for programmers sold at events only between July 1, 2009 and October 31, 2009.

We realize that programmers may not be sold at every event. Superchips will award dealers (1) raffle ticket if they submit a completed request form. (2) Raffle tickets will be rewarded if photos, showing the promo items on display, are submitted (electronic submission preferred) with the tracking form. (5) Raffle tickets will be rewarded for each programmer sold at events. This will ensure that all dealers participating with our kit program are eligible for prizes.

Promotional kits will continue shipping throughout the summer. Please be sure to submit a request for your Passport to Performance kit to ensure your event is on our schedule. learn about MSD’s new 2-Step Rev Control. The
compact device allows racers to easily set a lower
rpm limit that can be activated on the starting
line. This holds the rpm at a steady limit to help
produce consistent and firm launches every time.

The compact device plugs directly into the coil
pack harness so there is no cutting of factory
wires. Two rotary dials make adjusting the rpm
limit simple in 100 rpm increments starting at
1,000 rpm. The activation wire can be used directly
from the clutch switch or a racer can add a
momentary activation switch.

MSD NHRA Racing in 2009!

It's race season! That means the MSD Racing Support Semi is back on road ready to help racers at the track. MSD's Support semi is a rolling test facility for MSD Ignition. Its is at most every NHRA National Event as well as a number of other events throughout the year. MSD sends a trained factory support tech to each event to help answer our customers questions and concerns or to simply recommend a system for their specific application. Watch for the MSD Support Semi at an event near you!

NHRA's season started on a soggy note, with rain most of the weekend, but the racing action was hot on Tuesday! In the end, MSD send congrats to the 2009 inaugural race; Doug Kalitta in Top Fuel, Ron Capps in TF Funny Car and Jason Line in Pro Stock (all of which are powered by MSD Ignition!). On the opposite side of the country, the NASCAR teams are also in action in Daytona with the Gatorade Duels today to set the final order of this Sunday's Daytona 500!

We are very proud the announce the release of three new product applications! For details on each product please see the attached flyers. Please make note of the following important information pertaining to the release of these new products.

Part number 25003 now works on model year 2009 GM Duramax diesel trucks. This part number already exists and has been shipping for some time. All existing products can be updated via the Edge internet update system to become compatible with 2009 model years. Please update your systems and people accordingly. This product is in stock and now shipping.

Part number 20104 is a new part number for the Juice/Attitude for the 2009 Duramax. This product will also work on 2007 and 2008 truck models. Going forward you should update your systems so that you are only ordering 20104 instead of 20103. All 20103 inventory is still perfectly fine and should be sold for 2007 and 2008 model year trucks. Returns for this product (20103) will not be accepted. New part number 20104 will begin shipping during the first week of March. Production will be limited so place orders quickly.

Part number 30108 is a new part number for the Juice/Attitude for the 2009 Dodge Cummins 6.7L pickup. This product will also work on 2007 and 2008 truck models. Going forward you should update your systems so that you are only ordering 30108 instead of 30107. All 30107 inventory is still perfectly fine and should be sold for 2007 and 2008 model year trucks. Returns for this product (30107) will not be accepted. New part number 30108 will begin shipping during the last week of February. Initial production will be limited so place orders quickly.

The current economic climate, the kind of which we have never faced before, has dramatically slowed consumer spending. Consequently, we feel that the pricing regulations of the MVP program are now limiting our jobbers and retailers from promoting and doing whatever it takes to get the sale. In this economic climate, that is simply not acceptable.

After much deliberation, Superchips has made the decision to temporarily suspend the pricing regulations and allow our Authorized Dealers to react to the economic downturn. Our Authorized Dealers may now set the retail price for Superchips products and can promote and sell without pricing restriction. All remaining provisions of the MVP agreement remain unchanged and in full force and effect. We believe this will stimulate sales of all Superchips products and aid all of us in weathering this economic cycle.

This policy change goes into effect immediately and will stay in place until further notification. Also, prior to the time we re-implement the pricing regulations, we will give plenty of notice so that Authorized Dealers can change their advertising, price lists and promotional materials. The Advanced Power System Starters are now available for Ford, Chrysler and the GM LS Engines! The LS and Ford APS Starters feature a three horsepower motor combined with a 4.4:1 gear reduction to produce incredible torque. They also have a billet mounting block that can be located in different positions to allow for header and suspension clearance issues.

The Juice with Attitude for the 6.0L is back by popular demand. It is the NON-Platinum version of the product, priced right (at $599.20 MVP) to fit between the Juice Platinum with Attitude and the Evolution. This product features 5 on-the-fly adjustable power levels; safety features such as user-defined audible alerts and automatic fueling backdown; and gains of up to 80 HP and 220 ft-lbs of torque.

The Evolution for the 2008 6.4L Powerstroke is our latest offering in the Evolution line. It provides gains of up to 100 HP and 200 ft-lbs of torque, features 4 power levels, and stylishly integrates into the dash with a custom pod (included). Hemi fans old and new will be excited to see that the 6-Hemi Controller will connect to factory EFI fueled Hemis or will drive the coil packs of a carbureted retro-fit engine!

The Controller plugs into each coil pack along with the crank and cam sensors to provide you the ability to modify the timing curve, set a two step rev limit, nitrous retard or even a boost/timing map!

Superchips Max MicroTuners removed from MVP!

BIG news on the Superchips MicroTuners –

Cortex and Flashpaq span a wide variety of model years including 2008 MY applications. Max Micro Tuner (MMT) continues in production to cover older vehicles not currently supported by other Superchips products. Due to the increased functionality and capability of Cortex and Flashpaq compared to MMT, Superchips will be migrating older vehicle coverage into these two advanced programmers. Max Micro Tuner will continue to be supported in the marketplace, but Superchips may end MMT production in the next 18 months. Max Micro Tuner has been removed from MVP to expedite inventory draw-down in anticipation of the expanded Cortex and Flashpaq application coverage.
